It’s back ladies!
Black Friday is just around the corner. If you haven’t heard of black Friday (which is highly unlikely unless you have been living under a rock the last two years) it is an annual shopping event where retailers slash prices, A.K.A. the best day for bargain buyers and savvy shoppers alike!
Over the past few years, it’s regularly been the busiest shopping day of the year, both online and in-stores and this years it happens to also land on my birthday WOOOHOOO, like I needed another excuse to shop!
Of course it is a retailers dream to have yet another dedicated day to slash prices and up sales but if it means a few euros are saved for me, why not get involved and see what’s out there to be picked up with a bargain.
I have a bazillion weddings to attend next year…ok slightly dramatic, I have seven to go to in Ireland and abroad, so I will be keeping my eyes peeled for summer, spring and winter outfits for all of them!
Aerlingus are set to have another sale so I will be looking at flights too. I am hoping to move out with my boyfriend next year so I will also be keeping my eyes peeled for some major savings on home appliances. Then there’s also Christmas presents…Christmas clothes….the list is never ending!!
Also one last thing before we get to my list is that I always think that when you get bargain, sometimes it’s nice to donate some of the difference to charity. Maybe think about the savings you are making this weekend, it might make it a little easier for you to donate anything large or small to the homeless this Christmas.
OK so here are a list of all the places I will be hitting up this Black Friday, don’t forget to have your wishlist, set a budget, know you dress size and have your credit card at the ready:
Asos – 20% off with code CYBER
Aer Lingus – already advertising €50 off round trips to all of their North American destinations, if you are planning a trip Trump side I would suggest checking them out.
Brown Thomas – haven’t advertised any specific sales for black Friday yet, however they already are up to 40% off selected items in their mid-season sale and 20% off sit wide.
Harvey Norman – great for home appliances and Christmas presents, they will be worth the visit as they are already showing to be slashing €100s off their goods online.
New Look – I have been hearing great things about the new look black Friday sale. They already have a black Friday countdown with up to 50% off selected lines already. With free returns if you purchase and only €1 delivery nationwide, this will definitely be one to watch.
Holland & Barrett – because we all know by the time January comes around we’re going to be back on the health and fitness buzz. So why not think ahead this year and pick up your food and health supplements early at a bargain
Sky – for anyone who has just moved in to an apartment or bought a new house, SKY are said to giving away a free 32″ Samsung TV to all new customers who sign up to Sky TV on a 12-month contract. This will be a special offer that ends on December 8.
Smyths – for all the little ones or big kids out there, Smyths have already launched a 50% sale on selected toys, 20% on some of their bikes. Keep your eyes peeled for further discounts.
Coast – personally I would only shop in coast if there is a sale on as I feel like it’s overpriced otherwise! I usually stop by coast for wedding or occasion outfits. Black Friday came early and there is already 40% off in store.
Currys PC World – curry will have an epic sale this year. Last year I picked up my Nutribullet with a massive saving and this year is set to be their best Black Friday yet. So it seems to me it’s definitely one to watch as they are citing savings of up 70% off some products ranging from computers and home tech to entertainment and home appliances. Sign up to their black tag event online to be the first to know of all the discount availble tomorrow.
Debenhams – It’s been hard to ignore the massive sale that been going on in Debenhams as I walk past the store on my way to work every day. Huge saving on perfume and aftershave, also offering up to 50% off pretty much everything.
River Island – set to be another whopper sale event for River Island, they have been tight lipped on what discounts you can get but they are advertising that they will have cut-price fashion, accessories, beauty and more and that they will be spoiling us for choice with plenty of offers that our bank balance will thank them for.
Zara & Topshop – again tight lipped but you can expect it to be packed in store so my advice would be to get in early or buy online. Topshop are offering up to 50% in store and online already.
Boots – already have savings in store but discounts will be hiked this Friday.
Ernest Jones – haven’t revealed what their Black Friday sales will be, but keep in them in mind for everything from diamond rings to beautiful necklaces, all of which will definitely be available at a cheaper than usual price come Friday. Great for Christmas, christening and communion presents.
